Ole Miss has eight regular-season dates left on its 2026 schedule after today. Three of them are on the road, and those three Saturdays are where most of Oxford's dated fall events land: a farm's biggest weekend, a Smithsonian exhibit opening, a trail race and a craft fair. Each one is set up so it can share the day with the game. How easily they fit together depends on the clock, and the clock gets tighter as the season goes on.
| Date | Opponent | Where | Listed kickoff window |
|---|---|---|---|
| Sat., Oct. 10 | Vanderbilt | Nashville | 2:30 p.m. |
| Sat., Oct. 17 | Missouri | Oxford | Afternoon, 2:30 to 3:30 p.m. |
| Sat., Oct. 24 | Texas | Austin | Flex, 2:30 to 3:30 p.m. or 5 to 7 p.m. |
| Sat., Oct. 31 | Auburn | Oxford | Early, 11 a.m. to noon |
| Sat., Nov. 7 | Georgia | Oxford | Flex, 2:30 to 3:30 p.m. or 5 to 7 p.m. |
| Sat., Nov. 14 | Oklahoma | Norman | Afternoon, 2:30 to 3:30 p.m. |
| Sat., Nov. 21 | Wofford | Oxford | 11 a.m. |
| Fri., Nov. 27 | Mississippi State | Oxford | 11 a.m. |
These dates and windows come from the official Ole Miss football schedule as it stands this week. The Egg Bowl is now listed on Friday, Nov. 27, one day earlier than the date in the original December 2025 announcement.
October 10: the roomiest away Saturday of the fall
The first away Saturday has the most open space. Vanderbilt kicks off at 2:30 p.m., and that same weekend is the Fall Festival at Chadwick Farm, 113 County Road 215. The farm calls it "our biggest weekend of the year," and the festival runs Saturday, Oct. 10, and Sunday, Oct. 11. The list of activities includes pick-your-own pumpkins, hayrides through the woods, farm animals, play areas and photo spots on the Chadwick Farm truck.
The farm opens at 10 a.m. on Saturdays, so a morning there still leaves more than four hours before kickoff. The Sunday gate opens at 1 p.m. and closes at 6 p.m., or at sunset on shorter days. The festival page sends visitors to its event details for festival admission. Regular farm admission is $18 per person, and kids under 2 get in free. The farm also sells a $179 Fall Festival Season Family Pass and a $349 Annual Family Pass. The annual pass covers the Fall Festival and Pumpkin Patch, Christmas on the Farm, Easter and the Splash Pad.
October 10 is also opening day for something that stays open through all three away Saturdays. Spark! Places of Innovation is a Smithsonian traveling exhibit presented by the Mississippi Humanities Council. It runs at the Oxford Lafayette Library, 401 Bramlett Blvd., from Oct. 10 through Nov. 21. Oxford is one of six Mississippi stops on the 2026–2027 tour, along with Utica, Meridian, Greenville, Hattiesburg and Gulfport, and Cadence Bank is the statewide sponsor. The exhibit uses photographs, digital stories, objects and interactive pieces to show how invention takes hold in rural communities. The council's listing doesn't give exhibit hours, so call the library at 662-234-5751 before you plan around it.
October 24: an early start against an open-ended kickoff
The second away Saturday asks for an earlier morning, and the game time is less certain. Texas is listed in a flex window, so kickoff will be either 2:30 to 3:30 p.m. or 5 to 7 p.m.
The morning plan here is the Field Fest 5K Trail Run at the University of Mississippi Field Station in Abbeville. The 5K is scheduled from 8 to 11 a.m. and costs $35, or $20 for ages 4 to 12. A Kids One Mile Fun Run follows at 9 a.m. for $20. The registration deadlines are worth a look. The kids' price goes up after Oct. 16, and the 5K price goes up after 11:59 p.m. on Oct. 23, the night before the race.
There's one detail to sort out before race morning. The race's driving directions send runners along County Road 202 to the Field Station office at 15 County Road 2078. Visit Oxford's event listing gives the venue as 15 County Road 202, so use the race's directions when you set your map. Registration is through the Field Fest race page.
If you're done by 11 a.m., that's a full afternoon of margin before even the early kickoff option. If Texas ends up in the evening slot, the day has room for the race, lunch and a stop at the Spark! exhibit, which is in its third week by then.
November 14: the one where the overlap matters
The last away Saturday has the tightest timing. Oklahoma is listed for an afternoon kickoff between 2:30 and 3:30 p.m. The 2026 Holiday House and Craft Fair at Lafayette County Arena, 70 F.D. Buddy East Parkway, runs that Saturday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. If you browse until closing, you'll likely miss kickoff.
Friday makes the difference. The fair opens Friday, Nov. 13, and runs from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., which leaves a full evening of shopping hours before the Saturday crunch. Vendors are told to stay set up until 3 p.m. on Saturday, so the booths should be full right up to the last hour. The registration page lists 20 booths with electricity and 50 without, and it offers a reduced booth fee for members of the Lafayette County Homemakers. The booth registration is hosted by the Yoknapatawpha Arts Council.
The Spark! exhibit is still open that weekend too. It closes one week later, on Nov. 21.
Where the afternoon goes once the game starts
Once the morning is done, the question is where to watch. Visit Oxford keeps a guide to watching the Rebels when they're away. It's a general list of places with TVs, not a schedule of 2026 watch parties. The places it names:
- The Library Sports Bar, 120 South 11th St., listed for its many TVs and as a fit for watching solo or with a group.
- Quack's, 122 Courthouse Square, listed for gourmet hot dogs in a casual room on the Square.
- Funkys, 1012 Jackson Ave. East, listed for pizza, frozen daiquiris and TVs inside and out.
- Rafters Music & Food, 1002 Jackson Avenue East, listed for wings and game-day snacks.
- The Velvet Ditch, 430 South Lamar Blvd., listed for seafood, burgers, wings and seating for groups. The restaurant itself advertises 35 large QLED screens.
The Ole Miss Alumni Association posts watch parties too, but its page this week still shows the Sept. 26 Florida game, and the only Mississippi listing there is on the Coast. If you want a hosted watch party in Oxford for Oct. 10, Oct. 24 or Nov. 14, check back closer to the date.
The weeknights that lead into each away weekend
Each away Saturday also has a midweek event a few days before it. Thacker Mountain Radio Hour runs Thursdays from 6 to 7 p.m. On Oct. 8, two days before the Vanderbilt game, Deesha Philyaw appears at The Powerhouse, 413 S. 14th St., for The True Confessions of First Lady Freeman. On Oct. 22, two days before Texas, the show moves to the Hendricks Building, 102 Main St., in Water Valley, with Ariel Lawton and The Pirate Queen.
The week before Oklahoma, the Oxford Community Market's campus edition sets up on Business Row on Thursday, Nov. 12, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The craft fair opens the next morning. The same campus market also runs Oct. 15, the Thursday Isaac Fitzgerald is at The Powerhouse with American Rambler.
What the home weekends push to Sunday and Monday
Around home games, the dated events move off Saturday. The Halloween Punk Flea Market listed by the Yoknapatawpha Arts Council runs Sunday, Oct. 18, from 3 to 9 p.m. at the Powerhouse Community Center, the day after Missouri. The 2026 Oxford Witches Ride is on Monday, Oct. 26. Registration runs from 5:15 to 5:45 p.m., and the ride starts at 6:15 p.m. from the Mid Town Shopping Center, 709 N. Lamar Blvd. The ride benefits the Oxford-Lafayette Co. PANTRY.
October 31 is the one home Saturday with an early local event. Auburn kicks off in the early window, between 11 a.m. and noon, and Square Books Jr. holds a Halloween Storytime at 111 Courthouse Square from 10 to 10:30 a.m. that same morning.
The fall wraps up with the Oxford Christmas Galleria on Saturday, Nov. 28, at Jefferson Place, 365 MS 6. That's the day after the Egg Bowl moved to Friday.
Fall is also when some homeowners start looking ahead to spring, and an away Saturday is a quiet time to talk it over. If you'd like to know what your home is worth or see what's coming up off-market around town, Noelle Goubeaux and Melissa Scott can work around your fall calendar. Request a free home valuation and private listing access, and we'll schedule the conversation for whenever suits you.
